Dog safe fruits

Did you know your dog can eat some fresh fruits? Adding some fresh fruit to your dog's food bowl or training pouch will make your dog's day! Not only will it make a change to your dog's normal boring dry food but it healthy and good for them.

List of dog safe fruit:


  • Strawberries

  • Blueberries

  • Banana

  • Apple

  • kiwi

  • Pineapple

  • Oranges

  • Peaches

  • Watermelon


Strawberries - High in fiber and antibiotics. Cut off the green storks. easy to cut up and give as tasty training treats.


Blueberries - High in antioxidants. Lovely small training treats.


Bananas - Rich in potassium and vitamin C. Take about 10% of your dogs portion of dry food and add to your dogs daily food bowl.


Apple - NOT THE SEEDS OR CORE.


Kiwi - Good source or vitamin C and potassium. Peel off the skin first.


Pineapple - Try frozen for a cool treat in the summer.


Oranges - They are great for vitamin C but high in natural sugar. Give in moderation.

Peaches - Remove the pip: can cause intestinal damage.


Watermelon - A great summer treat. Remove the rind and pips first.

Never give your dog the fruits listed below as it can cause serious illness.


  • Avocados

  • Cherries

  • Grapes

  • Raisins


Avocados - Can cause vomiting.


Cherries - Can cause cyanide poisoning when giving in large quantities.


Grapes - Can cause kidney failure.


Raisins - Can cause kidney failure.
